On March 4, in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front (FFF) and Central organizations for the 2020-2025 term held a meeting of the Standing Committee.
Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - chaired the conference.
The conference deployed Conclusion No. 127-KL/TW, dated February 28, 2025 of the Politburo and the Secretariat on implementing research and proposing to continue to reorganize the apparatus of the political system.
The conference discussed and contributed opinions on the content of the submission of the Project to seek opinions from the Politburo and the Central Steering Committee on the arrangement of the apparatus of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State; discussed the content of the orientation for amending and supplementing the 2013 Constitution - regulations related to the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Do Trong Hung - Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee - suggested that the organizational structure of the apparatus mentioned in the project, after being approved, should ensure consistency from the Central to the provincial and commune levels to suit the current actual situation.

At the conference, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien affirmed that the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have been doing their mission well in recent times and when implementing the renovation, they will contribute to further consolidating the great national unity bloc.
Therefore, the arrangement needs to closely follow the practical situation, inheriting the achieved results to ensure smooth, effective and efficient operation in accordance with the spirit of Conclusion No. 127-KL/TW.

According to Mr. Do Van Chien, the Vietnam Fatherland Front is an organization of political alliances, voluntary unions of political organizations, socio-political organizations, social organizations and outstanding individuals in all classes, social classes, ethnic groups, religions and overseas Vietnamese.
This is the basis for when arranging and streamlining the Vietnam Fatherland Front agencies, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State to be synchronized from the Central to the provinces and communes; at the same time, basically keeping the operating apparatus of socio-political organizations as at present and having adjustments in accordance with the actual situation.
Regarding the orientation to amend the provisions of the 2013 Constitution related to the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Do Van Chien stated that through reviewing the 2013 Constitution, it shows that there are 6 provisions on the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, member organizations of the Front, including: Article 9, Article 10, Article 84, Article 96, Article 101 and Clause 2, Article 116.
Based on Conclusion No. 126-KL/TW dated February 14, 2025 and Conclusion No. 127-KL/TW of the Politburo, the Secretariat and documents of the 13th National Party Congress, the provisions of the 2013 Constitution need to be amended and supplemented to serve as a basis for the Conclusion for the reorganization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State.
Mr. Do Van Chien suggested that the drafting committee should soon complete the submission and draft of the Project to submit to the Politburo for consideration and decision according to the set schedule.
