On the morning of July 17, the 14th Quang Ngai Provincial People's Council, term 2026 - 2031 solemnly opened the 5th session (regular mid-year session) to consider and decide on many important contents under its authority.
Speaking at the opening of the session, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuy - Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Council said that along with the results of socio-economic development, the Provincial People's Council continues to promote the role of the state power agency in the locality, proactively and flexibly making timely decisions on important issues under its authority.

In the first 6 months of 2026, the Provincial People's Council held 5 sessions, considered and approved 105 resolutions; basically completed the handling of legal normative resolutions affected by the arrangement of administrative units at all levels, creating an important legal basis to serve the management, administration and promotion of the province's development.
Besides the achieved results, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuy also pointed out many difficulties and limitations that need to be focused on removing, such as: The progress of disbursing public investment capital and implementing key projects and works is still slow; compensation, site clearance, specific land price determination and handling of public assets still have many problems; investment attraction, especially large-scale, high-tech projects, has not met expectations.
The operation of the 2-level local government model still faces difficulties; the quality of some public services has not met requirements; administrative discipline and order and the effectiveness and efficiency of management and administration in some fields are still limited.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuy emphasized that at this session, the Provincial People's Council will consider reports on socio-economic development, national defense, and security in the first 6 months of the year; tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2026 and many reports according to regulations. At the same time, consider, discuss, and approve draft resolutions under its authority.
In particular, at the working session on the afternoon of July 17, the Provincial People's Council will conduct questioning and answering questions from members of the Provincial People's Committee and heads of relevant agencies about issues of concern to voters and people as well as shortcomings and limitations in the management, administration and organization of the implementation of resolutions of the Provincial People's Council.
