This is an important traffic adjustment step to effectively exploit the route worth more than VND4,800 billion and reduce pressure on the northwestern gateway routes of the city.
On June 24, at the Cong Hoa - C12 intersection (now the starting point of the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road), the concrete median strip combined with tree planting was dismantled.

A group of workers installed a soft plastic median strip to separate traffic, preparing for vehicles to turn left from Cong Hoa Street to the access road to Station T3.

Along with that, the traffic light system, signs and the items to improve the hydrology of the Cong Hoa - Truong Chinh intersection are also being implemented. It is expected that all will be completed in June, making it more convenient for vehicles to move, especially during rush hour.

Previously, to enter the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road, people from the Truong Chinh - Cong Hoa direction had to go around Hoang Hoa Tham and 18E streets, causing time loss and putting pressure on small routes.
Meanwhile, the new route is more than 4 km long, 6 lanes wide - although expected to reduce the load on the Truong Chinh and Cong Hoa axes, but has not yet promoted the expected efficiency due to inadequacies in traffic organization.
Faced with this situation, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has coordinated with relevant units to review and propose synchronous adjustment options to optimize the capacity of the main route connecting directly to Station T3.

Not only opening a median strip for vehicles turning left on Cong Hoa Street, a series of nut points around T3 Station and the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting route are also being adjusted to ensure smooth traffic.
Before T3 Station: The median strip at the exit of 14 car gates was revoked, allowing vehicles to turn left safely in different directions.
entrance to the 2-wheel parking lot: Open a median strip to park vehicles from Truong Chinh Street and go straight to the parking lot without having to go around.
On the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road (under the overpass): Open a turning point between pillars T6 and T7 for vehicles to turn towards Phan Thuc Duyen Street; at the same time, install a median strip to prevent vehicles from crossing the traffic flow into and out of Station T3.

Road 18E (from overpass to gate of train station T3): Organize two-way traffic, in which 5 lanes on the right side are reserved for vehicles entering and leaving the station, the left lane is reserved for motorbikes, cars are prohibited from entering and leaving the station.
18E - Phan Thuc Duyen intersection: Restore traffic organization according to the original design, build a small island to guide the flow, support vehicles to turn left conveniently.
Phan Thuc Duyen - Tran Quoc Hoan intersection (on the underpass): Install a median strip to create a left turn lane reserved for cars, trucks under 3.5 tons, passenger cars under 25 seats and motorbikes.
Phan Thuc Duyen - Thang Long intersection: An additional mobile fence is installed, managed by the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department to flexibly open/close when necessary to relieve congestion.
Cong Hoa - 18E intersection: Install continuous right turn signals, lines create a right turn lane from Ut Tich street to 18E; at the same time, move the bus stop to avoid causing obstacles.
