Component project 2.1 invests in the construction of a parallel road system (urban road) of Ring Road 4 through Hanoi with a total length of about 58.2km.
The route passes through 7 districts (before the time of the two-level government arrangement) including Soc Son, Me Linh, Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc districts, Ha Dong district, Thanh Oai and Thuong Tin districts.
Package No. 8 - construction of the Ring Road 4 parallel road through Soc Son and Me Linh districts (old) starting at the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway intersection, ending at the left dike of the Red River.
According to records, after more than 2 years since the start of construction, the Ring Road 4 parallel road has clearly taken shape.
Many sections on the route have been paved with asphalt. Currently, some housing projects in residential areas in Quang Minh and Tien Thang communes (Hanoi) are being dismantled to hand over the site for the project.

Speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam - Head of the Technical Department, Construction Management Board of Ring Road 4 in the Capital Region, Truong Son Construction Corporation - said that up to this point, the contractor consortium has completed about 70% of the construction volume.
Package No. 8 is about 23km long, most of which has been paved with asphalt.
It is expected that in July, the contractor will hand over the last 2 sections of the route. Machinery, personnel, and raw materials have been prepared by the contractor. When the site is clear, the construction work will immediately be implemented.

In addition to the construction of a parallel road, package 8 also requires the construction of 3 overpasses on the route including the Ca Lo River overpass, the Hanoi - Lao Cai railway overpass and the Hau village bridge.
Of these, the Hanoi - Lao Cai railway overpass is the largest bridge built under package No. 8. The project is about 560m long with 27 spans, the width of the bridge deck on each side is 15m.
Currently, there are 2 spans left on the left of the route waiting to install the last girder platforms. The installation of the remaining 2 spans will be implemented after the contractor completes the repair of the service road.
"After completing the installation of the remaining 2 girder spans, the contractor will move to the completion stage. This phase will not take too much time" - Mr. Nam said.
The contractor is also ensuring the construction progress of the remaining 2 bridges in package 8, including Ca Lo and Hau village bridge. The main items have been basically completed by this time.

"We have identified this as an important project with strategic regional connectivity, so there is more motivation for construction. Not only completing on schedule, the goal is also to ensure quality and safety" - Mr. Nam emphasized.
According to the plan, package 8 will be completed in September 2025, 3 months earlier than the request of the Hanoi People's Committee.
This is a positive signal for the overall progress of Ring Road 4 - the leading important infrastructure project of the Capital region and the Northern key economic region.
