On September 1, according to information from Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), the Long Thanh international airport project (abbreviated as Long Thanh airport) is bustling, with construction atmosphere throughout the ceremony.
Accordingly, in the joyful atmosphere of the whole country towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, at the large construction site of the Long Thanh airport project (Dong Nai province), the construction pace is still maintained urgently, resolutely, and without rest.
The construction teams operate continuously 24/7, deployed simultaneously in many key items such as: passenger terminal, runway, aircraft parking lot and other synchronous technical infrastructure.
According to ACV, Long Thanh airport is simultaneously implementing packages, units mobilizing nearly 14,000 human resources and about 3,000 machines to organize hundreds of construction teams.
In particular, package 5.10 for the construction of the passenger terminal - an item considered a priority gasoline (gantt) of the entire Long Thanh airport project, a consortium of contractors mobilized nearly 6,000 human resources and construction machinery to ensure progress.
Up to now, the passenger terminal has completed the underground reinforced concrete structure and 4 floors; basically completed the installation of steel structure, installed glass wall support, rough construction and is implementing the work of completing the foundation, ceiling, and brick embankment.
The terminal equipment system such as: luggage handling (BHS), aircraft handling (VDGS), escalators, and pedestrian elevators (ES/MW), the contractor has transported materials and equipment to the project and is installing them.
Regarding the items of inland traffic and technical infrastructure, the consortium of contractors mobilized more than 3,300 human resources, machinery to construct the technical tuynel system, regulating lake drainage lines, power supply systems, roads and overpasses.
For packages such as fuel supply systems; connecting transportation; aircraft parking lots; 2nd runway; cargo terminal, contractor consortium mobilizes thousands of human resources and machinery to speed up construction.

The Long Thanh airport project is targeted to be determined to basically complete the project by December 19, 2025, inaugurate it according to regulations, and move towards commercial exploitation in early 2026.
