On March 12, the early election team of Naval Region 2 (HCMC) after many days of urgently performing tasks at sea, brought the ballot box back to the mainland safely, completing the organization of early elections at sea for forces on duty and fishermen.
In the process of performing tasks from February 26, the Election Team on Truong Sa 04 and Truong Sa 21 ships (1st Fleet, 125th Brigade) left the port thousands of nautical miles, overcoming unfavorable weather conditions and strong waves, bringing ballots to the hands of more than 600 voters - who are officers and soldiers working at 15 DK1 rigs, on on-duty ships and fishermen exploiting seafood in the area.
To ensure citizens' voting rights, the Election Team has flexibly deployed many plans suitable to the actual situation in the open sea. For example, when the weather is favorable, voters will go to Truong Sa 04 and Truong Sa 21 ships to vote; and if there are large waves, ballot boxes with candidate lists and voter cards will be wrapped tightly in water and carefully transported to ships to organize elections...
In the process of deploying tasks, all voters at sea were excited, fulfilling their responsibilities and democratic rights according to the prescribed order and procedures. In addition, there were 27 fishermen on 4 fishing boats who actively contacted to participate in early elections after being propagated.
Each ballot in the open sea has brought the trust and expectations of voters in the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, who are virtuous and talented, contributing to building a rich and strong, civilized country in the new era.
