The project to periodically repair damaged road surfaces and traffic safety systems on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway has a total investment of more than 241 billion VND.
This project belongs to Group B, with Vietnam Expressway Development Investment Corporation as the Investor.
According to the investigation of Lao Dong Newspaper reporter on January 17 on the National Bidding Network (website address: muasamcong.mpi.gov.vn), since October 2024, the Investor has publicly announced the plan to select contractors for the project's bidding packages.
Including the following packages: Consulting on survey and design of construction drawings; Consulting on appraisal of design of construction drawings and estimates; Consulting on construction supervision; Consulting on auditing of completed project settlement and 2 construction and installation packages.
The remaining two construction packages are: Package SCMD1-NBLC-2024: Construction of periodic repair works for damaged road surfaces and traffic safety systems on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, section Km0+00-Km123+00 - worth more than 127 billion VND; Package SCMD2-NBLC-2024: Construction of periodic repair works for damaged road surfaces and traffic safety systems on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, section Km123+00-Km244+155 - worth nearly 100 billion VND.
With the SCMD1-NBLC-2024 Package (construction of section Km0+00-Km123+00), the contractor selection result on January 14 showed that 703 Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company was the winning bidder with a price of nearly 104 billion VND.
The above package constructs the Noi Bai - Yen Bai section, which has 4 lanes (2 lanes in each direction, each lane is 3.75m wide), 2 emergency lanes (each lane is 3m wide), maximum speed is 100km/h, and some overpasses in this section (designed with 4 lanes, no median strip in the middle) have a maximum speed of 80km/h.
With the SCMD2-NBLC-2024 Package (construction of section Km123+00-Km244+155), the contractor selection results on January 14 also showed that the consortium of Traffic Construction Investment and Management Joint Stock Company 238 and Van Xuan Construction Equipment and Materials Joint Stock Company - won the bid with a price of more than 89 billion VND.
This package constructs the Yen Bai - Lao Cai section, a 4-lane section, including 38km of fully invested 4-lanes and 83km of diverging 2-lanes, without a hard median strip in the middle.
Thus, in the coming time, more than 200km of Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway will have its road surface and traffic safety system repaired.
