Mr. Pham Van Khanh (a resident of Lao Cai city) shared: “After the press reported on the broken and messy railing system along the Red River, the replacement and repair work was urgently implemented. Now the landscape of the Red River bank looks much more open and clean.
Previously, in October 2024, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article "Billion-dollar stone railings in Lao Cai exposed abnormally after storm No. 3", reflecting on the situation of the railing system, sidewalks and trees of the project to renovate the landscape on both sides of the Red River being severely damaged after storm No. 3.
After the newspaper published the news, Lao Cai city authorities quickly set up a team to inspect the quality of the project.

The units went along the route, conducted inspections, measurements, and assessments, and pointed out objective and subjective causes and solutions.
Accordingly, the current solution, with intact stone pillars and relief panels, will be reused.
Then, holes will be drilled on the stone pillars and relief panels, then iron pins will be used to replace the old stone mortise and special glue will be used to attach and seal the gaps. There will be 1 pin for the pillars, and 2 to 4 pins for the panels depending on actual requirements.
