On the afternoon of March 6, the Inspection and Supervision Team of the Sub-Committee for Ensuring Security, Order, and Social Safety under the National Election Council came to inspect and supervise the work of ensuring security, order, and social safety of the 16th National Assembly election and the election of People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term at the voting area of Quarter 3, Election Team No. 68, Election Unit No. 6, Rach Gia Ward (An Giang province) and the Fire and Rescue Police Department of An Giang Provincial Police.
The delegation was headed by Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, Member of the National Election Council, Head of the Sub-Committee.
Inspecting and supervising at the voting area of Quarter 3, Election Team No. 68, Election Unit No. 6, Rach Gia Ward, representatives of the Rach Gia Ward Election Committee said that so far the preparation for organizing elections in the area has been seriously deployed, on schedule and in accordance with the provisions of law. The preparation of human resources, information and propaganda work, ensuring security and order, traffic safety, social safety, and preparing facilities have been proactively and seriously implemented early by the locality.
At the working session, members of the Inspection and Supervision Team and the Election Committee of Rach Gia ward, members of Election Team No. 68, Election Unit No. 6, Rach Gia ward exchanged and discussed a number of issues surrounding the preparation of facilities, personnel serving the election, forces working to ensure security and order in the voting area.... to ensure that the election day takes place in accordance with regulations, according to plan and progress according to the timelines of the National Election Council and An Giang province.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong acknowledged the efforts and highly appreciated the preparation for election organization of the locality; and at the same time requested the Rach Gia Ward Election Committee to continue to implement the remaining tasks and preparations to ensure that the election work takes place safely, in accordance with regulations, truly a people's festival.
Along with that, the Rach Gia Ward Election Committee proactively coordinates closely with functional forces to build and prepare good contingency plans for situations to handle promptly, not to affect election work; organize training and equipping knowledge and skills for forces participating in election teams. Choose and arrange places to list voter lists, lists and biographies of candidates in the most convenient area so that voters can easily observe and find information.
Arrange convenient entrances and exits for voters when coming to vote, and at the same time arrange forces to guide traffic flow in and out, guide voters to vote in accordance with regulations; have plans to prepare auxiliary ballot boxes to bring to voters who are elderly people and people with disabilities to ensure their participation in the election.
In ensuring security and order, localities need to carefully review coordination plans between forces, especially coordination between units, ensuring strictness; proactively grasp the situation early and from afar, not allowing passive and unexpected situations to occur in all situations. At the same time, heads of units and forces regularly inspect and remind at polling stations, arrange forces scientifically and reasonably," Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong emphasized.
Inspecting and supervising at the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department of An Giang Provincial Police, National Assembly Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong emphasized the special task of the fire prevention, fighting and rescue officers and soldiers for election work. Therefore, the Provincial Police, leaders of the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department thoroughly grasp all tasks and aspects of work so that officers and soldiers can clearly understand and uphold the spirit of proactiveness and determination in performing assigned tasks. In which, special attention should be paid to professional training, fully equipping vehicles, equipment, tools, and uniforms, ensuring safety and convenience in the process of performing tasks.
