Today, Ho Chi Minh City started construction and inaugurated 11 projects worth 181,412 billion VND on the occasion of National Day

Ho Chi Minh City - Ring Road 4, National Highway 13, National Highway 1 and 8 other projects were started and inaugurated on September 2nd, with a total capital of 181,412 billion VND.

On the morning of August 29, Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to inaugurate and start construction of 11 projects and works to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2026).

8 projects started

The project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13 (from Binh Trieu bridge to the border of the old Binh Duong province) has a total investment of about 20,678 billion VND.

In which, compensation, support and resettlement costs are about 14,402 billion VND; the upgrade and expansion of National Highway 13 according to PPP method, BOT contract is about 6,276 billion VND.

The route is about 5.9 km long, expanded to 60 m with 10 - 14 lanes, expected to be completed by the end of 2028.

The project to upgrade and expand National Highway 1 (from Kinh Duong Vuong to the border of the old Long An province) includes 3 component projects, with a total investment of about 16,285 billion VND.

In which, the cost of compensation, support and resettlement is about 9,611 billion VND; the construction method according to PPP, BOT contract is about 6,674 billion VND.

The route is about 9.62 km long, expanded to 60 m with 10 - 12 lanes, expected to be completed in 2029.

Ring Road 4 HCMC is about 207 km long, passing through HCMC, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh, including 10 component projects, with a total investment of about 120,413 billion VND. There are 2 component projects started this occasion, expected to be completed and put into operation in 2029.

Component project 2-1 builds the expressway from Toc Tien - Chau Pha intersection to Chau Duc bridge according to PPP method, BOT contract, total investment of about 5,247 billion VND. The route is about 18.25 km long, scale is divided into 4 expressway lanes.

Component project 2-3 to build the expressway from the Saigon River to the Thay Cai canal, with a total investment of 8,761 billion VND, including 3,035 billion VND from the central budget and 5,726 billion VND of capital mobilized by investors. The route is about 16.7 km long, with a 4-lane expressway phase scale.

The urban embellishment project of Ma Lang and Cho Ga - Gao areas is implemented according to PPP method, BT contract, with a total investment of about 15,674 billion VND.

In Ma Lang area (Cau Ong Lanh ward), the project is implemented on an area of about 37,740.5 m2, investing in technical infrastructure, social infrastructure, 1-2 inter-level schools and resettlement housing area including about 1,400 social housing apartments and 93 low-rise houses.

In Cho Ga - Gao area (Ben Thanh ward), the project has an area of about 4,350 m2, investing in technical infrastructure, social infrastructure and about 760 social housing apartments for resettlement.

The project aims to embellish the city, improve living conditions, implement on-site resettlement, and contribute to building a synchronous and spacious central area of Ho Chi Minh City. Expected completion in 2029.

The Binh Duong water environment improvement project has a total investment of about 7,211 billion VND, using budget capital and loans from the World Bank (WB).

The project to build a system for collecting and treating urban wastewater in Tan Uyen, Thuan An and Di An, with an additional treatment capacity of about 60,000 m3/day and night. Expected completion in 2028.

The social housing project belonging to Tien Phuoc Housing Area in Zone B - Lot No. 1 Zone 9AB - New Urban Area South of the City is implemented on a land area of about 3,111 m2 in Binh Hung commune.

The project includes an 18-story building with about 342 apartments, with a total investment of about 306 billion VND, and a expected construction time of 72 months.

The Le Thanh Tan Tao 2 social housing project in Binh Tan ward is implemented on a land area of about 3,335.8 m2, with a scale of 432 apartments, a total investment of about 550 billion VND, using land funds and capital from businesses.

3 inaugurated projects

Three projects were inaugurated including the Project to renovate and upgrade Marie Curie High School (building block C); the Project to build, upgrade and renovate Vo Truong Toan High School; and the Project to upgrade Tran Van Giau High School.
