Agricultural damage included about 86.6 hectares of vegetables being flooded; 31.11 hectares of aquaculture area being flooded and overflowing in Tuyen Hoa, Minh Hoa districts, and Ba Don town.
At around 10:00 a.m. on September 20, fishing boat QB-98043TS of Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh (Quang Phuc ward, Ba Don town) was anchored on the North bank of Gianh river (Tan My residential area) when the anchor rope broke, drifted out to the sea about 20m from shore and was hit by waves, causing the boat to capsize.
The Gianh Port Border Guard Station mobilized 30 officers and soldiers and more than 70 people to move 2 large anchor cables, tying the ship to the port pillars to limit drifting, waiting for the flood water to gradually decrease to find a salvage plan to minimize damage. Luckily, there was no one on board.
Previously, the cargo ship Nam Anh 69 was also swept away. The ship is currently stranded between buoys 1 and 2, about 2 nautical miles from shore.
Currently, functional forces throughout the province are still organizing on-duty teams to monitor the storm and flood situation, promptly responding to situations when they occur.
