On March 12, according to information from the Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone, on March 11, the total number of vehicles carrying import and export goods through the province's border gates reached 1,705 vehicles.
Accumulated from January 1 to the end of March 11, 2026, the whole province had 106,085 trucks of goods completing customs clearance procedures. Of which, export trucks are 394 trucks, and import trucks are 1,311 trucks.
Notably, on the Tan Thanh - Po Chai specialized goods transport road, area marker 1088/2 - 1089, vehicle traffic continues to increase.
On March 11, this area recorded 565 import and export vehicles, including 232 export vehicles and 333 import vehicles. Accumulated from the beginning of the year to date, the number of vehicles cleared through this route reached 36,993 vehicles.
In particular, according to this unit, in recent days, the average number of vehicles passing through the Tan Thanh - Po Chai route has reached about 560 vehicles/day, double compared to the end of February, when the traffic volume only fluctuated around 250 - 280 vehicles/day.
However, thanks to the proactiveness of functional forces, most vehicles were still completed procedures and cleared customs on the same day.
At Huu Nghi international border gate, the specialized road in the area of milestones 1119 - 1120 continues to be the place with the largest volume of cargo vehicles in the whole province. On March 11, this area recorded 899 import and export vehicles, including 133 export vehicles and 766 import vehicles.
In addition, the Coc Nam - Lung Nghiu customs clearance route has 49 cars of import and export goods in the day, and the main Chi Ma border gate recorded 192 cars, mainly imported cars.
At Dong Dang international border gate, railway transport activities are also maintained with 9 export carriages, 85 import carriages and 63 passenger arrivals and departures on March 11.
Another positive point is that the situation of vehicle inventory continues to be controlled. The number of cargo vehicles still existing at border gates decreased compared to the previous day, showing effectiveness in operating, channeling and customs clearance coordination between functional forces.
The increase in vehicle traffic but the border gate still maintaining a smooth state is a positive sign for Lang Son's border trade activities, especially in the context that the demand for import and export of goods continues to increase in the first days of the month.
