On September 3, information from the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province said that the unit had completed giving National Day gifts to most people in the province.
According to statistics, Thai Nguyen province has 1,745,413 people, many of whom live in remote areas.
As of 7:00 p.m. on September 1, more than 97.2% of the province's population had received gifts worth VND100,000/person via bank transfer or live broadcast.
Of which, 28 communes and wards out of a total of 92 units have completed 100% of gift giving.
By September 2, most people in the province had received gifts, the remaining cases were mainly people without bank accounts or residing in remote areas that were hard to access.
The provincial leaders have directed localities and banks to urgently complete the giving of gifts to the people.
The total budget for the gift-giving period on the occasion of National Day 2.9 in Thai Nguyen is more than 174.5 billion VND.
