After the National Day holiday on September 2, workers have a day off with full salary on New Year's Day.

Article 112 of the 2019 Labor Code stipulates as follows:

Holidays, Tet

1. Employees are entitled to take a day off and receive full pay during the following holidays and Tet:

a) New Year's Day: 1 day (January);

b) Lunar New Year: 5 days;

c) Victory Day: 1 day (April 30);

d) International Labor Day: 1 day (1st day of the 5th lunar month);

d) National Day: 2 days (September 2 and 1 day before or after);

e) Hung Vuong's Commemoration Day: 1 day (10th of the third lunar month).

2. Foreign workers working in Vietnam, in addition to the holidays prescribed in Clause 1 of this Article, are also entitled to an additional day off for the traditional New Year and a day off for their country's National Day.

3. Every year, based on actual conditions, the Prime Minister decides specifically on the day off specified in Point b and Point d, Clause 1 of this Article.

Thus, after the National Day holiday schedule on September 2, 2025, employees will be entitled to a full-time holiday on New Year's Day on January 1, 2026.
