On the afternoon of September 29, a quick report from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lao Cai province showed that due to the influence of the circulation of storm No. 10 combined with the high-altitude wind convergence area, areas in the area had heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms.
As a result, 1 person in Muong Hum commune went missing, 2 people in Thuong Ha commune, 1 person in Ta Cu Ty commune was injured; 338 houses had their roofs blown off, and 361.7 hectares of agricultural land were damaged.



Regarding traffic, Provincial Road 162 (Quy Xa road to Van Ban commune) was eroded, with a landslide volume of 30,000 m3.
Provincial Road 155 landslide at Km 38 in Ngu Chi Son commune caused an estimated 100 m3 of rock and soil to flow, causing traffic congestion on the provincial road. Along with that, there was a lot of damage to infrastructure...
The initial damage is estimated at over 15 billion VND.




Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, functional forces were present at the scene in time to command and encourage people to help overcome the damage.
For landslides, management units have organized the first step of repairing them to ensure traffic for vehicles and people.
It is forecasted that in the next 3-6 hours, Lao Cai province will continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain to very heavy rain, rainfall from 100 - 150mm, some places with localized heavy rain of 300mm.
In the next 6 hours, there is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in many communes/wards.
