According to records, at the gateways of Ho Chi Minh City, traffic volume increased sharply during peak days. On the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay, Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressways, the traffic police force has proactively coordinated with the Traffic Police Department to deploy traffic diversion and regulation plans, so the situation is basically controlled.
Hanoi Highway in the direction from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai and National Highway 1, the section from Dong Nai bridge to Ho Chi Minh City is airy in both directions, and traffic is convenient.
In the city center area, people and tourists have fun and sightseeing safely, traffic is smooth, and there is no situation of teenagers gathering to illegally race cars, causing public disorder.
From December 31, 2025 to January 4, 2026, on road traffic routes, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police force discovered and handled more than 11,500 violations; revoked the right to use driver's licenses in more than 940 cases; deducted points from driver's licenses in more than 1,700 cases; temporarily seized 13 cars, more than 4,200 motorbikes and more than 200 other vehicles.
Notably, among the violations, there are more than 4,000 cases of alcohol and drug concentration violations; more than 200 cases of speeding violations and 17 cases of carrying overloaded goods, exceeding the limit size, extending the walls and trunks of vehicles.
On waterway traffic routes, functional forces also detected and handled more than 120 violations.
