On July 31, the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection of Lam Dong province worked with relevant parties and announced the test results of NPK Nitrophoska 16-16-8+4S fertilizer sample showing that the product met national technical standards.
According to the working minutes, the Inspection Team of the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection of Lam Dong province worked with representatives of the People's Committee of Bao Lam 1 commune, Huy Hoang Hai Company Limited and the coffee garden owner, Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh.
The parties agreed with the analysis results of 2 NPK NITROPHOSKA fertilizer samples 16-16-8 + 4S of Behn Meyer Agricare Vietnam Co., Ltd. taken directly at the company's warehouse and at the farmer's garden.

The results of the analysis from the Technical Center for Standards and Quality Measurement 3 recognized the product as meeting the National Technical Regulation on fertilizer quality QCVN 01 - 189:2019/BNNPTNT.
NPK Nitrophoska 16-16-8+4S fertilizer meets quality standards, not the cause of coffee garden leaf loss and branch failure.
According to the report, the analysis results ensure transparency and full assessment. The specialized agency has excluded the cause of fertilizer causing coffee leaf falling, fruit falling, and dead branches.
The Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection of Lam Dong province has not issued any handling requests for fertilizer supply facilities in village 8, Bao Lam 1 commune.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that in early June, Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh, residing in Bao Lam 1 commune, bought 7.5 tons of the above brand fertilizer to fertilize his 13-year-old coffee garden, with an area of over 5.5 hectares.
After about 15 days of fertilization, Mr. Dinh's coffee garden experienced leaf loss, premature fruit loss and dead branches, causing serious damage to the profession.
In response to information from the people and the press, the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection of Lam Dong province has urgently conducted an inspection, collected fertilizer samples for analysis, and compared them with national technical standards.
The test results have just been announced, showing that the NPK Nitrophoska 16-16-8+4S fertilizer model of Behn Meyer Agicare Vietnam Co., Ltd. fully meets the quality requirements according to current regulations.
According to the conclusion of the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection of Lam Dong province, the incident of leaves falling and branches dying in Mr. Dinh's coffee garden did not originate from the quality of NPK Nitrophoska 16-16-8+4S fertilizer but due to pests.
However, to produce sustainably, authorities need to continue to closely monitor the situation and support farmers with farming techniques, especially in the context of increasingly complex climate change.
According to the representative of the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection of Lam Dong province, to determine the cause of Mr. Dinh's coffee garden having fallen leaves, fruit and dead branches, it is necessary to conduct a field survey.
Checking the entire farming process, land conditions, weather, and other biological impacts is necessary to better understand the condition of the garden.
In some cases, sudden changes in weather such as prolonged heavy rain, high temperatures and disease outbreaks in many areas of Lam Dong province can lead to exhaustion, fruit loss, and yellow leaves.
