Accordingly, the Lao Cai Provincial Portal will be retained, and all data and resources will be transferred from the Yen Bai Provincial Portal to the Lao Cai Provincial Portal after the merger.
After the merger, the new Lao Cai Provincial Portal system will have: The provincial advertising agency with unchanged name (Lao Cai province), with the available laocai.gov.vn domain name in accordance with legal regulations.
The Provincial Portal is merged with 3 agencies (Provincial Party Committee - National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council - Provincial People's Committee) into one main portal: Lao Cai Provincial Portal and over 150 Component Portal, including:
The Portal includes Party agencies, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and provincial socio-political organizations, and specialized agencies.
15 Component Portal of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council; Office of the Provincial People's Committee; departments, branches and sectors under the province.
The Portal consists of central agencies of the vertical sector located in the province and other units and organizations.

The People's Committee of Lao Cai province proposed that the Vietnam Telecommunications Group deploy technical infrastructure conditions for the merger of the two Portal of Lao Cai and Yen Bai according to the progress of the two-level local government from July 1, 2025.
