According to the cooperation agreement, VNVC and Sanofi will gradually deploy technology transfer to produce a number of important Sanofi vaccines in large quantities in Vietnam. The cooperation agreement with Sanofi, a pharmaceutical group with more than 100 years of experience and global influence, is an opportunity for Vietnam to access the world's leading vaccine production technology, thereby being able to proactively produce hundreds of millions of high-quality vaccine doses each year to serve domestic demand, even for export.
Proactively domestically manufacturing will help provide a full source of high-quality vaccines and reduce vaccine costs for people. In a strategic vision of contributing to the goal of national vaccine autonomy, VNVC will build a modern VNVC Vaccin and Food Factory, with a scale of up to 26,000 m2 in Long An province. With an initial investment of VND 2,000 billion, the VNVC vaccine factory is designed to meet the highest standards of the most modern Good Medicine Production Practice (GMP) of the World Health Organization (WHO), the European Union (EU), and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Currently, Sanofi provides tens of millions of doses of high-quality vaccines, serving the need for vaccination services in Vietnam such as vaccines 6 in 1 Hexaxim, 4 in 1 Tetraxim, 3 in 1 against pharyngitis - whooping cough - Adacel - Tetanus, rabies Verorab, penicelliartritis caused by Menactra spondylitis, A Avaxim hepatitis, flu quadriplegia Vaxigrip Tetra, welding typhim VI. Most of these vaccines are provided and safely vaccinated at the system of more than 220 VNVC vaccination centers nationwide with preferential price policies.
It is expected that when these vaccines are produced at the VNVC factory, Vietnam will have abundant supply and reduced costs, bringing opportunities for full vaccination, protecting the health of many children and adults.
