After the merger, Hung Yen province has 104 communes and wards with an area of 2,514.81 km2 and a population of nearly 3.57 million people. The whole province currently has 4,672 commune-level cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers, with an average of about 45 people arranged for each commune and ward.
After only 3 days of implementation, the commune-level government apparatus has basically stabilized and come into disciplined operation. In 104 communes and wards, the first session of the People's Council and People's Committee was held solemnly, in accordance with procedures, ensuring quality.
Specialized agencies, Party organizations, unions, the Fatherland Front... have completed the work of perfecting personnel and issued operating regulations, assigning specific tasks. The Commune-level Public Administration Service Center has also been invested in equipment and personnel, ensuring uninterrupted reception and settlement of administrative procedures for people and businesses.
The working spirit of the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees in communes and wards is highly appreciated: seriousness, responsibility, solidarity and consensus with the policy of reorganizing the administrative apparatus according to the two-level model. People in the area expressed their consensus and expectations for the new government apparatus, believing in innovation and efficiency in serving people and promoting local development.
At the conference to initially evaluate the operation of the two-level government model, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Than acknowledged and praised the efforts of localities and requested to continue to improve the organization and apparatus, improve operational efficiency, and not let work be interrupted.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the organization of Party Congresses of communes and wards for the 2025-2030 term must be completed before July 15, especially it is necessary to clearly identify growth drivers and development advantages in the political report submitted to the congress.
The Provincial People's Committee also assigned specific tasks to the following departments and branches: Department of Home Affairs guiding the arrangement of commune-level personnel according to job positions, organizing professional training; Department of Finance reviews and advises on resource allocation plans to ensure working conditions at the grassroots level; other branches strengthen inspection, remove difficulties and coordinate with localities to speed up the progress of key projects.
