On December 5, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Bui Trong Tue - Head of Road Management Office 2.4 (Vietnam Road Administration) said that the unit is developing a plan to handle the nearly 40m long crack that just appeared on National Highway 1 through Deo Ngang.
Immediately after the discovery, the road management force stretched ropes, placed warning signs and temporarily stopped vehicles from traveling on the cracked road surface to ensure safety.
According to Mr. Tue, in the immediate future, when the weather stops raining, the unit will stuff the rope into the cracks and pour asphalt to prevent water from leaking down below.

At the same time, the Road Management Office 2.4 reported to the Vietnam Road Administration. Experts will be sent to the scene for inspection and appraisal to determine the next handling plan.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on December 4, a large crack appeared on the road surface of National Highway 1 through Deo Ngang area connecting Quang Tri - Ha Tinh. Some cracks are about 3cm wide, can reach the fingers, are tens of meters long and appear clearly on the asphalt layer.
