Up to now, the Sub-Department of Fisheries and Islands of Khanh Hoa province has sent documents to the Department of Fisheries and Fisheries Resources Surveillance, Naval Flotilla 129, Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center Region IV, Provincial Military Command and related units to coordinate and support the search, rescue, and rescue of fishing vessel KH 90026 TS.
Fishing vessel KH 90026 TS engaged in drift net fishing, with 8 workers on board, owned and captained by Mr. Pham Van Bong (residing in Ha Ra, Bac Nha Trang ward).
Accordingly, the fishing boat departed at 9:28 am on January 7 at Da Nong Border Guard Station (Dak Lak province).
During the journey to the fishing grounds to exploit seafood, fishing vessel KH 90026 TS lost the connection to the navigation monitoring device.
Through monitoring on the Fisheries Surveillance System of the Department of Fisheries and Fisheries Resources, the last location of the ship was recorded at 1:45 am on January 9, at coordinates 12°40'55"N - 110°01'03"E, belonging to the sea bordering between Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces.
At this time, the fishing boat was moving at a speed of about 2 knots/hour, the sea area had level 8 wind, and the weather was complicated.
To date, the Fisheries Vessel Supervision Standing Committee - Sub-Department of Fisheries and Islands of Khanh Hoa province has not been able to contact the captain of fishing vessel KH 90026 TS.
