Connecting domestic and foreign consumption of OCOP products

    Kien Giang - The forum is an opportunity to meet, exchange, promote potential, promote trade, and connect domestic and foreign OCOP product consumption markets.

    At the closing ceremony held on the evening of October 3, Mr. Giang Thanh Khoa - Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee - said that the Mekong Delta OCOP Product Connection Forum 2024 introduced, promoted and connected OCOP products of the Mekong Delta with provinces and cities in the country and introduced the characteristics of agriculture, rural areas and the historical, cultural and tourism traditions of Kien Giang province. The program was organized by Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

    The highlight of this year's forum is 320 booths of representatives from provinces and cities; organizations, businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities from provinces and cities across the country. Over 230 agricultural, forestry, and fishery products of the province have gathered in Kien Giang - a land with a heroic history and revolution, rich in tradition, and beautiful nature. This is also an opportunity for Kien Giang province to meet, exchange, promote potential, trade promotion opportunities, and connect markets for OCOP products domestically and internationally.

    Along with the Mekong Delta OCOP Product Connection Forum in 2024, there will also be a series of practical and meaningful activities such as: Conference "Connecting trade of OCOP products in the Mekong Delta region"; Contest "Typical OCOP products at the Mekong Delta OCOP Product Connection Forum"; Space for displaying exhibition products, trading Vietnamese OCOP products; exhibition of traditional Phu Quoc fish sauce production process; Food stall area serving dishes using traditional Phu Quoc fish sauce...

    On this occasion, the Central Office for New Rural Area Coordination awarded certificates of typical OCOP products to 22 entities; the Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 3 collectives and 4 individuals with outstanding achievements in the Mekong Delta OCOP Product Forum in 2024.

    At the closing ceremony, the organizing committee awarded the rotating flag to An Giang province to host the Mekong Delta OCOP Product Forum in 2025.
