As Lao Dong newspaper reported, in the early morning of March 23, in some highland communes of Tuyen Quang such as: Tung Vai, Quan Ba, Lung Tam, Nghia Thuan, ice rain and thunderstorms appeared.
Dense hail has heavily affected many localities.
Preliminary statistics show that damage in Quan Ba, Tung Vai, Nghia Thuan, Mau Due, Lung Tam communes... is estimated at more than 2 billion VND.


In Tung Vai commune, more than 190 households had their roofs blown off; many crop areas suffered damage from 50% to 90%, with damage of about 700 million VND.
After the natural disaster, functional forces have deployed urgent plans to overcome the consequences.
Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Kham - Head of Tung Vai Border Guard Station said: "Tung Vai Border Guard Station has assigned 30 officers and soldiers of the unit to move to villages damaged by hail to carry out support for people.
The goal is to help families soon stabilize their lives”.
In addition to overcoming the consequences, the forces also integrate propaganda and guidance for people on measures to prevent natural disasters, reinforce houses, proactively protect property and agricultural production.


According to Senior Lieutenant Colonel Vu Xuan Thoi - Commander of the Area 1 - Yen Minh Defense Command, the unit has directed the Military Commands of communes to stick to the area, proactively mobilize forces on the spot, closely coordinate with localities, and promptly support people, not letting anyone lack housing, food, and necessities.
In Quan Ba commune, hail affected 13/30 villages, causing 76 households to have their roofs blown off. Many areas of crops were crushed. Some inter-village roads were damaged by fallen trees, causing local congestion; National Highway 4C has a section blocked that has been promptly repaired.
Senior Lieutenant Colonel Thao Seo Lenh - Commander of the Military Command of Quan Ba commune, said: "The unit has mobilized 26 officers and soldiers to coordinate with the people to repair houses.
At the same time, maintain 24/24 hour duty, continue to review damage and implement disaster prevention and control measures.
