Inauguration of the mural road with the largest area in the country
On August 19, Ho Chi Minh City Police held the inauguration ceremony of the 20th mural road project with the theme "Beautiful Vietnam". This is a project established by the World Record Alliance - Central Committee of the Vietnam Record keeping Association to set a record for the largest mural street in Vietnam.

Attending the inauguration ceremony and announcing the record were Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Major General Pham Kim Dinh - Director of the Department of Political Affairs (Ministry of Public Security); Lieutenant General Mai Hoang - Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police and representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Record keeping Association - Vietnam Record Organization.
The project is carried out on Nguyen Huu Canh Street (Saigon Ward), painted along the wall of Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens and Saigon University, with a total length of nearly 600m, an area of about 2,600m2.
Not only recognized as a record, the mural also recreates the landscape of the homeland and vividly parades the historical festival to celebrate the National Reunification Day. The image of the armed forces, officers and people appearing in brilliant colors is the crystallization of the passion and coordination between Ho Chi Minh City Police and accompanying units.

For many years, from the illegal advertising situation, walled fences, electric poles full of "black credit" stickers, "border tunnel sewers" ... causing loss of aesthetics and potential risk of disorder, Ho Chi Minh City Police have advised the City Steering Committee 138 to launch a campaign, mobilizing socio-political organizations and people to participate in removing advertisements. From there, the artistic creation model, the series of mural works "Beautiful Vietnam" was born. Dozens of roads and alleys have been completed, becoming a symbol of the determination of the political system and the community in building a civilized urban area.
