Moving on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway from IC7 Intersection to IC9 Intersection in mid-February, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters recorded that the section about Km49 (near IC7 Intersection) has a signboard stating "Phu Tho Town 35 km".
However, in reality, the distance from IC7 Intersection of Viet Tri city (about Km48) to IC9 Intersection of Phu Tho town (about Km66) is only over 17 km, about half of the number recorded on the sign.
Or if the above sign is only 35 km from the center of Phu Tho town, then the actual measured distance from IC7 Intersection to Binh Minh Square (in the center of Phu Tho town) is only about 21 km, other central locations in this urban area are only about 22 to 24 km, unable to reach 35 km as instructed by the sea.
Continuing to move to a section of about Km54 (near IC8 Intersection), the reporter noted that there was a directional sign stating "Phu Tho Town 30 km". However, in reality, from IC8 Phu Ninh Intersection (about Km54) to IC9 Intersection of Phu Tho Town (about Km66) is only about 12 km, to the center of Phu Tho Town is only 15 to 18 km.
Similarly, on the road from IC8 to IC9, when moving to about Km57 (near the rest stop), there is a sign stating "Phu Tho Town 27 km". However, from Km57 to IC9 Intersection in Phu Tho town is actually less than 10 km, to the center of Phu Tho town is only 12 to 14 km...
It can be seen that a section of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway is less than 10 km long (about Km49 to about Km57), but there are 3 directional signs with signs of incorrect information.
Receiving feedback from Lao Dong Newspaper reporters on the above issue, the leader of the Office of Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) - said that he would inform the management unit to check and update the information on the sign (if there were cases of incorrect recording).

Accordingly, in the past, the mass media reported on inadequacies in the system of directional signs, traffic lights (traffic lights); licensing, arranging stops, parking, parking lots, causing traffic conflicts.
Regarding this, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested the Ministry of Transport to preside over and, together with the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities, conduct a general review and resolution of shortcomings in the system of signs, traffic lights, licensing, arrangement of stops, parking lots, parking lots, etc. causing traffic conflicts; report to the Prime Minister on the results before March 15, 2025.
