On July 16, the Lao Cai Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with Thien Tam Fund (Vingroup Group) and Viet Hong Commune People's Committee to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of the "Ban Din and Ban Na Domestic Water System" project with a total investment of 5.8 billion VND.
The project is being implemented to solve the prolonged shortage of domestic water in the Din and Na village areas (now belonging to Chao, Pha and Na villages), where nearly 90% of the population are ethnic minorities.
For many years, people here have mainly used stream water, well water and gravity sources to serve daily life. In the dry season, many households often fall into water shortages, while the quality of water sources is unstable, posing a potential risk to health and life.

According to the design, the project will build a centralized domestic water supply system, ensuring stable and safe water supply for nearly 400 households and 4 public water supply points after completion.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. When put into use, the system will not only meet the needs of clean water for daily life but also contribute to improving environmental sanitation conditions, reducing the risk of diseases related to water sources, and improving the quality of life of people.
This is also an important premise to help people feel secure in working and production, contributing to promoting socio-economic development in the locality, especially in ethnic minority areas that are still facing many difficulties.
