On the morning of August 19, connecting points across the country simultaneously held a groundbreaking ceremony and inauguration ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. In the western area of Hai Phong, many important transportation and cultural projects have been implemented, contributing to completing infrastructure and promoting the socio-economic development of the area.
In Kinh Mon ward, the project to build a traffic route connecting National Highway 17B with Dinh bridge officially started construction. The route is about 3.09 km long, starting at the intersection of National Highway 17B, ending at the connection with Dinh Bridge approach road, designed according to the standards of the main street, speed 50 km/h, roadbed width 16 m.
The total investment is about 248 billion VND from the provincial budget, implementation period is 2024-2025. When completed, the route will contribute to reducing inner-city traffic pressure, creating momentum for socio-economic development for the West Hai Phong area.
At the same time, the Dong Viet Bridge approach road project connecting National Highway 37 (old Chi Linh city) was completed and put into use. The route is more than 5.3 km long, designed as a grade II plain road, with a speed of 80 km/h and a roadbed of 22.5 m.

The project has a total investment of more than 469 billion VND, from the central budget and the provincial budget, contributing to completing the connection between Hai Phong and Bac Giang, promoting the transportation of goods, exploiting land and developing tourism in the Con Son - Kiep Bac special national relic site.
In Tan Hung ward, two important projects are being implemented: the Martyrs' Temple and the Western Cultural Park of the city, along with the Thai Binh River Overpass Project and the approach road on Ring Road I.
The temple and park are built on an area of about 2.5 hectares with many main items: temple, bell tower, square, memorial - relic, landscape... The total investment is about 200 billion VND, to honor heroic martyrs, and at the same time become a place to educate the patriotic tradition for the younger generation.
The Thai Binh River Overpass Project has a total length of about 2.5 km, including the overpass section on the Tan Hung Ward side of the bridge 0.437 km long, the overpass section on the Nam Dong Ward side of the bridge connecting to Provincial Road 390C about 1.4 km long. The completed project will enhance traffic connectivity in the western area of the city, creating conditions for industrial and urban development.
