At about 13:10 on February 18, 2025, a fire broke out at a mechanical processing workshop in Cong Hoa hamlet, Huu Hoa commune, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi city. The fire quickly broke out with the risk of spreading, local people and forces coordinated to put out the fire, and at the same time notified the authorities.
Receiving fire report from hotline 114, Thanh Tri District Police and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Area 5 mobilized officers, soldiers and vehicles to perform the task. The forces controlled the fire for about 15 minutes.
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Ta Cuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Huu Hoa Commune, Thanh Tri District said that immediately after the fire broke out, the local government coordinated with the authorities to put out the fire, covering about 80 square meters in the factory.
"The fire did not cause any human casualties, the authorities are investigating the cause of the incident and calculating property damage," said Mr. Cuong.
