Am Tien National Historical and Cultural Relic Site is located on the top of Nua mountain, belonging to Tan Ninh commune, Thanh Hoa province. The relic was ranked as a national level in 2009. This is a complex including Ba Trieu Temple (Trieu Thi Trinh), Am Tien cave, Tien well and related places of worship. According to historical records and folk legends, Nua mountain was once Ba Trieu's base during the uprising against the Dong Ngo army in the 3rd century. Therefore, this place has both historical value and a strong spiritual color.
Besides the meaning associated with the Ba Trieu uprising, Am Tien is also considered by many people as one of the "sacred temples", a place for harmonizing the sacred energy of heaven and earth. This factor makes the relic a destination attracting a large number of tourists every beginning of the year, especially during the spring.

This year, Am Tien campus has been reorganized by Thanh Hoa provincial authorities at all levels in a more modern, spacious and civilized direction. Previously, although it was a national historical relic, the establishment of a management board encountered many obstacles, and the management work was still inadequate.
Currently, with the drastic action of the two-level local government, order at the relic site has been restored, clearly establishing that the relic management entity is the State and the people. Thanh Hoa province has established the Management Board of Am Tien National Relic Site, arranging officials with expertise and experience to directly be in charge.
From the parking lot at the foot of the mountain, the situation of jostling and messy parking is no longer there. Vehicles are arranged in rows, ensuring safety and convenience. The business area, trading local products and food services are planned centrally, associated with the waiting area for shuttle buses to the temple, both convenient for tourists and ensuring food safety and hygiene and security and order.

The operation of shuttle buses to Am Tien is also strictly managed. According to the leader of Tan Ninh Commune Police, all drivers must check for alcohol and drug concentration daily before operating. Vehicles must meet technical standards, because the road to Nua mountain peak has steep, winding terrain, posing a potential risk of unsafety if not strictly controlled.
Along with that, worship and incense offering activities are rearranged in a solemn and regulated manner. Superstitious and superstitious elements are eliminated, replaced by civilized and respectful religious practices.
With a new appearance, Am Tien National Relic Site not only preserves the historical value associated with Ba Trieu but also gradually builds the image of a spiritual - cultural destination that is safe and civilized, contributing to the development of Thanh Hoa tourism in the new period.
