Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan affirmed that after the establishment of the new Bac Ninh province, there will be a lot of room for development with the goal of becoming a centrally-run city before 2030, the current Bac Ninh area is still the locomotive for economic, social, trade, tourism development... connecting with the capital Hanoi and neighboring areas.
The policy of Bac Ninh province is to continue to promote the attraction and formation of a system of universities and training institutions in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, high technology, electronics, semiconductors, etc. and create the most favorable conditions for schools to implement the project.
Previously, on the morning of June 12, the National Assembly officially passed a resolution to reorganize provincial-level administrative units, the whole country still has 34 provinces and cities. The Resolution takes effect from the date of promulgation.
In which, the entire area and population of Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces will be arranged into a new province called Bac Ninh province.
Bac Ninh province has an area of 4,718.6 km2, a population of 3,619,433 people, bordering Hung Yen, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen provinces, Hai Phong city and Hanoi city.
