Representatives of Noi Bai airport said that during holidays, airport procedures are longer than usual. Therefore, people should check in via VNEID when flying.

Representatives of Noi Bai airport forecast that passenger volume and flights during the peak period of April 30th this year will increase by about 10-15% compared to the regular flight schedule.

On the peak day of April 29, 2026, Noi Bai International Airport is expected to serve a total of 652 flights, an increase of 9.4% compared to normal and the same period in 2025.

The estimated passenger volume reached 113,631 passengers, an increase of 15% compared to the regular flight schedule and an increase of 12.4% compared to the same period last year.

In which, international transport volume is expected to have 323 flights (up 7.3% compared to normal and up 13% compared to the same period in 2025) with 52,102 passenger trips (up 12.3% compared to normal and strongly up to 29.1% compared to the same period in 2025).

Domestic transport volume is expected to have 329 flights (up 11.5% compared to normal and up 2.8% compared to the same period in 2025) with 61,529 passengers (up 17.3% compared to normal and up 1.3% compared to the same period in 2025).

Although the general market has fluctuations in fuel supply and prices leading to some frequency cuts, Noi Bai still recorded stable growth momentum, especially from new airlines and the increase in flight frequency of international partners.

Noi Bai International Airport has plans to serve the peak holiday season, especially during the level 1 security reinforcement period from April 29 - May 4. 2026. Specific plans are as follows:

Regarding infrastructure and equipment: The port ensures the best operating status for 98 check-in counters at Terminal T1 and 144 counters at Terminal T2, including 48 new counters put into operation from the T2 Passenger Terminal expansion project.

The system of 16 luggage delivery conveyors at two terminals and 122 licensed aircraft parking positions are also ready to serve the increased output.

Coordination to ensure aviation security, security and order, and traffic safety: The Port strengthens coordination with Noi Bai Border Gate Police to arrange personnel, maximize security scanners; Coordinate with Noi Bai International Airport Police Station and Traffic Police Team No. 15 to strengthen patrols, ensure security and order, handle violators in port areas; coordinate to regulate and divert traffic smoothly for passengers.

At the same time, apply automatic toll collection at all entry/exit lanes to improve customs clearance capacity, implement flexible toll lane opening/closing regulation, and prevent congestion during peak hours.

Regarding operational duty: Strictly maintain coordinated operational duty at Noi Bai Exploitation Coordination Center; Ensure a 24/7 leadership and operational duty regime at all locations to promptly handle arising situations. Subordinate units have also reviewed and strengthened 100% of human resources at locations directly serving passengers.

Ensuring service quality: The port coordinates with ground service units to strive to ensure luggage return time according to standards; Requesting passenger transport enterprises to arrange sufficient vehicles to serve at time frames including late nights and early mornings; Working with non-aviation enterprises to request commitments to ensure the quality of service provided; Arranging passenger support staff to promptly detect and help passengers in difficult situations in need of assistance; 24/7 hotline to promptly answer feedback to the Port...

To make flights convenient during peak seasons, Noi Bai International Airport recommends passengers to perform complete biometrics via VNeID or check in online through airline websites to minimize waiting times.

At the same time, passengers need to pay attention to carefully checking the validity period of personal papers and proactively be present at the airport early, at least 2 hours before for domestic flights and 3 hours for international flights to ensure completing the most convenient aviation procedures, especially during the level 1 security enhancement period from April 29 - May 4. 2026.

Notably, the application of level 1 aviation security control measures may cause procedure time to be longer than usual days.

Specifically, the rate of passengers and hand-carried luggage being randomly inspected visually will increase significantly compared to normal conditions.

Therefore, passengers need to be proactive in time, comply with inspection procedures and instructions from airline staff to quickly complete procedures.

In addition, to ensure absolute safety, passengers need to raise awareness of self-protection of personal luggage and absolutely do not look after or pawn belongings for strangers in any form.

In case of detecting ownerless luggage or other unusual signs, passengers should immediately notify the airline staff or functional forces at the nearest location for timely support and handling.
