Previously, at noon on June 12, at Km86 National Highway 34, the area near Nam Quang suspension bridge, Bao Lam commune, an accident occurred due to a landslide from the positive slope down to the road surface.

According to Mr. Ma The Trung - Chairman of Bao Lam Commune People's Committee, at the time of the incident, Ms. Trang was driving a motorbike on National Highway 34 in the direction from Ha Giang to Cao Bang. When reaching the Km86 area, a large rock suddenly separated from the cliff and fell onto the road.
Because the incident happened too quickly, the victim did not have time to avoid and was hit by a falling stone on herself and the vehicle. The collision caused Ms. Trang to fall to the road, the motorbike was hit by the stone, hit and heavily damaged.
Immediately after receiving the news, functional forces of Bao Lam commune were present to provide initial first aid, and at the same time took the victim to a medical facility for emergency treatment.
After the incident, Bao Lam Commune People's Committee continued to issue warnings about the risk of landslides on National Highway 34. This is a mountainous road with many vertical cliffs, especially potentially with the risk of rock rolling and falling during the rainy season due to geological weathering and landslides.
Local authorities recommend that people and drivers when traveling through the area pay attention to observation, reduce speed, comply with warning signs and limit movement during heavy rain to ensure safety.
