With the launch of "All people use energy economically and effectively and respond to the 2026 Earth Hour Campaign", the Ministry of Industry and Trade calls on people and businesses to actively participate in activities to use energy economically and effectively; promote energy conversion, switch to clean energy vehicles, thereby contributing to improving the energy efficiency of the economy and implementing sustainable development goals.
Earth Hour is a global communication campaign of great significance, implemented in many countries to promote thinking innovation, technology application and change energy use methods towards efficiency and modernity.
According to information from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, many localities across the country have simultaneously implemented propaganda activities, mobilizing the community to use energy economically and efficiently. In Hanoi, the Department of Education and Training has simultaneously launched a summer peak on economical and efficient energy use throughout the capital's education sector.
Accordingly, schools are encouraged to organize propaganda for teachers, students and parents about the meaning of saving electricity, and participate in activities such as campaign response runs, and knowledge-finding contests on energy saving and efficiency.
In Thai Nguyen, agencies, units and localities in the province have implemented many communication activities to raise community awareness about energy saving and environmental protection. Propaganda programs are organized at agencies, schools and residential areas, contributing to encouraging people to change their electricity use habits towards thrift and efficiency.
In Ninh Binh, propaganda activities on loudspeaker systems, social networks and public places are also being promoted to spread the message of using energy sparingly, contributing to raising community awareness about environmental protection and sustainable development.
Other localities such as: Gia Lai, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa... departments and agencies have also proactively developed plans to organize communication activities, mobilizing agencies, businesses and people to participate in turning off lights to respond to Earth Hour.
