The authorities had to block part of the National Highway to serve the fire fighting work.
At around 7:40 p.m. on April 17, residents of Kim Yen hamlet, Nghi Lien commune (Vinh city, Nghe An) discovered a large fire rising from the area near house number 467 Thang Long street, near National Highway 1A. The fire quickly spread, engulfing a kiosk of nearly 100 square meters with many goods inside.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) dispatched 3 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene. Hundreds of local people also supported the authorities to control the fire.
To ensure safety and facilitate firefighting, a section of National Highway 1A through the incident area has been temporarily blocked.
At around 8:30 p.m., the fire was basically extinguished. All goods inside the kiosk were completely burned down. Fortunately, the fire did not cause any human casualties.
The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
