On the afternoon of September 22, Mr. Ngo Van Ninh conducted a preliminary survey of the landslide site at km103+800 on National Highway 20 through Bao Loc Pass that occurred last night, September 21.
At the scene of the landslide, Chairman of Bao Loc City People's Committee Ngo Van Ninh acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the rescue forces. Among them, the forces of Dai Lao commune did not hesitate to face difficulties and dangers to coordinate to overcome the landslide.
Basically, the landslide scene was cleared that night to clear Bao Loc pass and ensure safety for people and vehicles passing through.
Through on-site assessment, authorities determined that the landslide location mentioned above is at high risk of further landslides occurring during prolonged heavy rain.
In addition to the above landslide location, on Bao Loc pass in the two localities of Bao Loc city and Da M'ri town (Da Huoai district), there are about 12 locations at risk of landslides when heavy rain continues.
In Dai Lao commune alone, there are 5 landslide risk points. Of these, 1 has a high risk of landslide.
Therefore, Chairman of Bao Loc City People's Committee Ngo Van Ninh assigned the city's functional departments and Dai Lao Commune People's Committee to regularly monitor weather developments; strengthen coordination with Madaguoi Traffic Police Station and Road Management Unit IV.1.
Thereby, the inspection units grasp the situation to promptly warn and ensure absolute safety for people traveling through Bao Loc pass.
On the other hand, localities and relevant units regularly report to the City Party Committee and People's Committee of Bao Loc City for guidance in emergency cases.
