The socio-economic picture for the period 2021 - 2025 of all three localities shows positive results, which is an important foundation for Lam Dong to make a breakthrough in the coming period.
Accordingly, Lam Dong has 11/17 targets achieved and exceeded the plan; Binh Thuan has 17/22 targets exceeded; Dak Nong has 8/11 targets achieved and exceeded the plan. The economy continues to grow steadily, the quality of growth is enhanced in a sustainable direction.
The average GRDP growth rate in the period of 2021 - 2025 is quite good: Lam Dong increased by 6.57%, Binh Thuan increased by 6.20%, Dak Nong increased by 6.86%.
The fields of economic development, environmental management and protection have seen clear changes. The economic structure has shifted towards modernity, in which agriculture - forestry - fishery still plays a key role, associated with the development of processing industry and eco-tourism.
In addition to economic development, the fields of culture - society and humanity have achieved many positive results. The work of preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic groups is focused on, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc.
The new cultural institutional system is increasingly improved, in line with the characteristics of the region, meeting the spiritual needs of the people.
Education and training are invested synchronously; science and technology are promoted, associated with the goal of socio-economic development. National defense and security are guaranteed; foreign affairs activities and international cooperation are increasingly expanding.
Encouraging endogenous strength, creating breakthroughs in development
After the merger, the new Lam Dong province ( merged from the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong) has an area of over 24,000km2 - the largest in the country, a large new development space with diverse potential in land, resources, climate and culture, creating a great advantage for the locality to make a breakthrough in the new era.
Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Y Thanh Ha Nie K'nam emphasized: To rise to a new growth pole, Lam Dong determines that endogenous strength must be aroused and developed based on three core factors: Party leadership - Government for development - people and businesses for action.
When Party committees and organizations make breakthrough decisions, and the government creates an open and transparent development environment, people and businesses will truly become " Subjects of development", freeing up all resources to help Lam Dong break through and rise up, elevating its position".
According to Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Y Thanh Ha Nie K'nam, in the coming term, the locality will focus on implementing three major breakthroughs. That is to mobilize all resources to invest in developing a synchronous and modern infrastructure system; promote administrative reform, taking people and businesses as the center; strongly innovate personnel work. On that basis, Lam Dong is determined to promote comprehensive innovation, effectively exploit the potential and advantages, and build a rapid and sustainable development of Lam Dong in the new era.
