On June 27, Phu Quy Port Border Guard Station (Lam Dong province) said that it had coordinated with the Phu Quy Special Military-Civilian Medical Center to provide timely emergency aid to a crew member who was suffocated by gas while working on a ship.
Previously, a cargo ship carrying about 2,200 tons of palm bran was on its way from Indonesia to Gia Lai. When the ship moved about 27 nautical miles from Phu Quy Island, the crew members discovered that Mr. B.V. S (born 1980) showed abnormal signs.
Through inspection, the victim fell into a deep coma due to gas poisoning, so the ship took the victim to Phu Quy island for emergency treatment.
After the ship docked, functional forces coordinated to put the victim on an ambulance and transferred him to the Phu Quy Special Military-Civilian Medical Center.
Here, doctors and nurses performed emergency care and monitored the health of the crew members. After the health condition temporarily stabilized, the center continued to coordinate to take the patient onto a speedboat to transfer to the mainland level for treatment.
