Advanced models
According to the People's Committee of Krong No commune, in recent years, the locality has seen many typical examples of prestigious people and good farmers. These individuals directly support people to apply effective farming methods, contributing to improving crop productivity, especially coffee.
The whole commune has 13 particularly disadvantaged hamlets, of which 5 are prestigious and are considered good farmers.
Mr. Y Tang Ro Luc - an employee of the Department of Culture - Social Affairs of Krong No commune - was born and raised in the locality, understanding the customs and practices of ethnic minorities. He is also a person who is close to and affectionate with the prestigious people and traders in the area.

During a field trip through 5 extremely difficult ethnic minority areas, Mr. Y Tang shared many stories about the livelihoods and customs of local people, as well as the process of "changing skin and meat" of each village.
According to Mr. Y Tang, about 10 years ago, people's lives were still facing many difficulties. However, in the past 5 years, thanks to resources from the National Target Program, people have been supported with livelihoods and essential items; local authorities have more conditions to invest in infrastructure, organize training, and foster knowledge of cultivation and animal husbandry. Thanks to that, the lives of the people have gradually improved.
In parallel with the support of the State, a team of prestigious people and village chiefs are always exemplary and leading in production labor, becoming advanced models for people to learn and follow.

As one of the good farmers, Mr. Hoang Van Hop - a prestigious plum trader - said that in order to help people improve their lives, they must first set an example by their own labor results.
"The achievements are the motivation for people to trust and follow. At the same time, we must constantly encourage and remind, because if we only ignore for a few months, poor and near-poor households can easily have a mentality of waiting and relying on the support of the State," Mr. Hop shared.
Also from livelihood support policies, Ms. Nong Thi Boi (residing in Krong No commune), a poor household, received State support for breeding cows in 2024. By 2025, the cow had given birth to a healthy calf.

According to Ms. Boi, the family situation of the husband and wife died early, she raised two young children alone, and her previous life was very difficult.
"Since receiving support for breeding cows, prestigious people living near my home have often encouraged and guided me on how to care for them, so I have determined to raise them well. Hopefully, when the cow grows up, the family will have more income to improve their lives," said Ms. Boi.

Continue to expand
In recent years, the People's Committee of Krong No commune has implemented many creative and effective ways in propaganda and mobilization of ethnic minorities to develop the socio-economy, maintain security and order and build cultural life in residential areas.
One of the outstanding solutions, bringing practical results, is to focus on discovering, nurturing and replicating advanced models, especially the role of prestigious people and traders in the community, taking that as an example for people to learn and follow.

Mr. Ta Cong Son - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong No commune - said that not only stopping at commendation and reward, the locality also focuses on replicating advanced models in many practical forms.
Examples of good people and good deeds are introduced at meetings and community activities; integrated into conferences to propagate, disseminate laws and broadcast on the commune's loudspeaker system.
People have witnessed and heard close, authentic stories from those who live in their communities. Thereby, creating trust and spreading the spirit of following effective models", Mr. Son shared.
According to Mr. Son, many traders and prestigious people have pioneered in converting crop and livestock structure, applying science and technology to production, and boldly developing household economy.
From these effective models, the People's Committee of the commune coordinates to organize for people to visit, learn experiences, gradually replicate, contributing to increasing income and sustainable poverty reduction in ethnic minority areas.
