Despite being inaugurated less than two years, Ho Phai Cha (Tam Thanh Ward, Lang Son City) - The project is expected to become a highlight of the landscape and community living space - is falling into serious pollution, seriously affecting the lives of people around them.
The project of Phai Chaos has an area of more than 2.8 hectares, invested by the People's Committee of Lang Son City, inaugurated and attached the construction sign on June 13, 2023.
The project is expected to contribute to urban embellishment, creating play space, gymnastics and improving the quality of life for people in the downtown area.

However, as noted by the reporter on April 14, after less than a year after operation, Ho fell into a state of degradation and heavy pollution. Many points on the surface of the lake covered with western duckweed, domestic waste and black mud layer.
The lake water changes color, stinking stinking. Some sections also appear foaming phenomenon and show signs of discharging wastewater directly from large sewers.

Under the embankment, instead of green landscape, many areas have turned into a place to accumulate rubbish, rotten mud and died. Each cluster of black hyacinth hugged the nylon bag, foam boxes, domestic waste were thrown down from many sides, creating a sleazy scene, losing urban beauty.
Mr. Nguyen Van Son, - People living along the lake - Announced: "The pollution has been going on for about 2 years, but this year is the heaviest. In the past, the lake was dredged regularly, now no one does anything else. The smell makes people's lives turned upside down, especially students of Tam Thanh Primary School are heavily influenced by Tam Thanh Primary School."
Mr. Son added, Ho Phai Kha has existed for nearly a century and attached to the lives of many generations of Lang people. Despite being renovated in 2023, but so far has not been maintained and dredged yet.
Not only affects daily life, pollution also has a negative impact on the business activities of the people around the lake. Mr. Vu Van Duc - owner of a cafe on Phan Huy Ich Street - shared: "Previously, I chose to open the shop here because of the airy and beautiful space. But now the guests come and turn away because of the smell.

Local people said that the main reason for the pollution is due to domestic wastewater from Hoang Dong commune and some restaurants around the lake discharged into the drainage system leading to the lake. Although many times have proposed to the authorities at all levels, but so far, the problem has not been thoroughly handled.
Talking to PV, the leader of the People's Committee of Tam Thanh Ward said that the ward has grasped the feedback of the people and organized the actual inspection. "We will propose to the functional rooms of the City People's Committee to soon take measures to handle and overcome the pollution situation at the disturbance lake, in order to ensure the health and quality of life for the people," the representative of the Ward Information.
