On January 12, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province said that it is forecast that the demand for green vegetables and flowers during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 will increase sharply. Therefore, the agricultural sector has proactively implemented solutions to ensure stable supply for the market.

Over the past time, the Department has assigned the Sub-Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection to coordinate with localities to strengthen propaganda and orient people to produce vegetables and flowers with appropriate scale, reasonable structure, meeting consumption needs during Tet.
According to a report by the Sub-Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection, the area of vegetable cultivation for the Winter-Spring crop 2025 - 2026 in the whole province is estimated to reach 28,225ha, with a production of about 940.460 tons.

Due to the impact of the circulation after storm No. 13 and 14 in the months of October - November 2025, some vegetable areas in key specialized farming areas in the province were damaged.

However, thanks to favorable weather conditions in the late season, vegetable production has quickly recovered, grown stably, ensuring output and quality to serve the Tet market.
Along with vegetables, flower production continues to be a strong sector of Lam Dong agriculture in this year's Tet crop. The area of flower cultivation for the Winter-Spring crop 2025 - 2026 is estimated at 4,242ha, with a production of about 1.7 billion branches.
In which, the area of flowers served specifically for the Lunar New Year is about 4,000ha, with an estimated output of 1.6 billion branches.
Key flower varieties such as chrysanthemums, roses, gladiolus, lilies, magenta... are invested in production in the direction of applying high technology, improving quality and design, meeting market needs and tastes.

The general assessment of the Sub-Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection of Lam Dong province shows that favorable climate and soil conditions along with the proactiveness of localities, businesses and people have contributed to stabilizing vegetable and flower production, ensuring supply for the Tet Nguyen Dan 2026 market.
