On the afternoon of August 1, Cat Tien Commune People's Committee said that the locality had started the project to build a dyke to prevent landslides of Chuong Bo stream, the section from Tran Le street to Pham Van Dong street.
The project is invested by Cat Tien Commune People's Committee, built along the existing stream route, belonging to class III agricultural and rural development works, with a total investment of 19.5 billion VND, implemented in the period 2026 - 2028.
In recent years, in the rainy season, the water level of the Dong Nai River has risen, flowing rapidly, causing serious landslides on the banks of Chuong Bo stream, the section passing through the center of Cat Tien commune, threatening two roads Tran Le and Pham Van Dong.
This area has the central market of Cat Tien commune, so it concentrates a lot of business and trading activities.
Every time heavy rain lasts, many locations are frequently flooded, affecting people's travel, living and business.
According to Cat Tien Commune People's Committee, the project aims to overcome the situation of stream bank erosion, protect land, houses and people's property; and at the same time reinforce the stream bank, protect existing infrastructure works, contributing to stabilizing life and promoting local socio-economic development.
