According to initial information, at more than 6am the same day, a worker came home from work and discovered the body of a newborn baby girl with umbilical cord still intact in an alley next to a tourist area that had stopped operating, about 35m from National Highway 51 in Ben Dinh Quarter, Phu My Ward. This person immediately reported to the police.
The authorities quickly arrived, sealed off the scene, examined and took the baby's body to the morgue.
According to the extraction of the security camera of the area, at about 0:15 a.m. the same day, a car stopped on National Highway 51, then 3-4 people walked down. At 0:26, these people got in the car and left. At the scene, the police seized many traces including plaque, blood stains and a blood-stained outfit suspected to have been worn at birth.
The case is currently being further investigated and clarified by the authorities.
