New colors on the old land

On the occasion of National Day September 2nd, red flags with yellow stars were hung in front of many houses in the Lang Nu resettlement area.

The road leading to the residential area is clean, the houses are built synchronously in the green of trees, creating a spacious and peaceful living space.

After a period of stable housing, people have gradually become accustomed to their current lives. New houses have become shelters, and families proactively arrange their lives, taking care of jobs and the lives of each member.

Sharing with reporters, Mr. Hoang Van Vo, a resident living in the Lang Nu resettlement area, said that his family's life has changed a lot towards more stability.

Life is much more stable now. Houses are spacious, roads are convenient, electricity and water are sufficient. We also have to aim for a better future," Mr. Vo added.

The morning in the resettlement area is quite peaceful. Young people in families mostly go to work far away, older people stay to take care of the house.

On holidays, children and grandchildren return, making the originally quiet space have more laughter.

One of the noticeable changes in Nu Village is that children's learning conditions are guaranteed.

Lang Nu kindergarten school is located in a residential area, creating favorable conditions for families to bring children to class.

On August 28, students returned to school as planned, started to get acquainted with the classroom and stabilized the order for the 2026-2027 school year. Currently, they are on National Day holiday on September 2nd and will return to school after the general holiday according to the schedule.

As a teacher at Lang Nu school point, Ms. Hoang Thi Hoa, in charge of the 2-3 year old class, said that the learning and living of children are now in order. Children are able to study and play in spacious and clean facilities.

Children go to school stably, come to class and are cared for by the teacher, study and play. The conditions at the school point are currently good, and the children are also happier and bolder when coming to class," Ms. Hoa said.

New rhythm of life, new joy

Along with a spacious appearance, the lives of people in Lang Nu are also gradually improving. When housing has stabilized, families have conditions to focus more on jobs, income and taking care of their children.

Many young people choose to work in other localities, looking for suitable jobs to have a stable income. Meanwhile, older people stay to take care of their homes and family life.

According to Mr. Hoang Ngoc Xu, Secretary of Lang Nu village, people's lives have gradually changed, getting better every day. People are increasingly reassured about their current lives and proactively seek directions for family economic development.

After the natural disaster, people's lives have stabilized, and their spirits are also excited. Young people go to work with income, and families have conditions to take better care of their lives," Mr. Xu said.

Not only taking care of immediate life, people are also starting to aim for long-term plans.

For many families, having stable jobs outside helps increase income, while people at home can feel secure in taking care of their families.

After two years, Nu Village is gradually returning to normal life. New houses are being nurtured, children go to school, people are looking for jobs, taking care of the economy and gradually building a more stable life.
