On the morning of March 15, 496 voters belonging to election group No. 4, election commission No. 3, located at the cultural house of Lang Nu resettlement area, Phuc Khanh commune, were present very early to participate in voting to elect National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
Despite the rain, people lined up early to attend the opening ceremony and exercise their voting rights. Security at the polling area was ensured, forces were on duty, guiding voters to participate in the election in accordance with regulations.
At the new resettlement area of Nu Village, many voters with special circumstances still arranged time to participate in the election. Ms. Sam Thi Nhien (born 1998) carried her 2-month-old baby to the polling station.


Ms. Nhien said that in the landslide in Nu Village before, her family lost 5 relatives. In the new house in the resettlement area, there are currently only her husband and two young children left. For her, the newborn child is the hope for a new beginning.
Today going to the election, I hope to choose delegates who are truly interested in and help people stabilize their lives and build Lang Nu village to be better and better," she shared.
As a child of Nu Village, Ms. Sam Thi Dan traveled a long distance from Phu Tho province to return to her hometown from the afternoon before to be able to participate in the voting. On the morning of March 15, she woke up early, preparing to go with the villagers to the cultural house of the Nu Village resettlement area to attend the opening ceremony and exercise voting rights.
Ms. Dan said that although her livelihood forced her to leave her hometown to work far away, every important occasion of the locality, especially election days, she still wants to return.


Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Hoang Van Diep, head of Lang Nu village, said that after the natural disaster, the lives of people in Lang Nu are gradually stabilizing in the new resettlement area.
On election day, the atmosphere at the polling station was bustling as a large number of voters participated in exercising their rights and citizens' obligations, sending their belief in the development of their homeland after the losses caused by natural disasters.
According to Mr. Lo Tien Huu, Head of the Party Building Committee of Phuc Khanh commune, Head of Election Commission No. 3, to ensure the people's right to vote and security at the polling stations, the Election Commission has promoted propaganda to help people understand their rights and obligations when participating in the election.
At the same time, providing information about the biographies of candidates for voters to choose deputies with virtue and talent. Thanks to that, on election day, people at the polling stations were present fully and participated in voting in accordance with regulations.
Election Commission No. 3 has 2 polling stations including Lang Nu village and the area of Tri Trong and Tri Ngoai villages, with a total of 1,311 voters participating in the election.
In Lang Nu village alone, the voter list was only finalized 24 hours before the election time because there are still 5 voters missing after Typhoon Yagi in 2024 and 5 voters going to work abroad.
