Lang Son removes the Regional Project Management Board, establishes a Commune-level Board

Lang Son - The Provincial People's Committee requested the transfer of the Project Management Boards of the area under the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to the People's Committees at the commune level.

On December 14, according to Lao Dong's source, the People's Committee of Lang Son province issued an Official Dispatch directing the transfer of the Project Management Boards of the area currently under the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to the People's Committees at the commune level.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Lang Son province assigned the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Home Affairs, Commune People's Committees and relevant agencies and units to develop documents to transfer the Regional Project Management Boards to the Commune People's Committee in accordance with regulations.

During the implementation process, the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant units to pay attention to renaming the Project Management Board of the area and developing a plan to transfer to central communes and wards, ensuring compliance with the 2-level local government model, while improving the effectiveness of management and operation of construction investment projects in the area.

The transfer documents must be completed and reported to the People's Committee of Lang Son province (through the Department of Home Affairs) by December 15, 2025 at the latest.

Along with that, the People's Committees of communes and wards are assigned to closely coordinate with the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board in developing documents to transfer the Project Management Boards of the area to the People's Committees at the commune level, ensuring progress and compliance with the provisions of law.

The Department of Home Affairs is responsible for monitoring, guiding, and urging agencies and units to implement; at the same time, synthesizing and appraising the transfer documents, reporting to the People's Committee of Lang Son province the appraisal results no later than December 18, 2025.

Currently, Lang Son province has 11 Regional Project Management Boards, including: Project Management Board of Area I (old Lang Son city); Project Management Board of Area II (old Cao Loc district); Project Management Board of Area III (old Loc Binh district); Project Management Board of Area IV (old Dinh Lap district); Project Management Board of Area V (old Chi Lang district); Project Management Board of Area VI (old Huu Lung district); Project Management Board of Area VII (old Van Lang district); Project Management Board of Area VIII (old Trang Dinh district); Project Management Board of Area XI (old Bac Son district), Project Management Board of Area IX (old Van Quan district) and Project Management Board of Area X (old Gia Binh district).
