On the evening of March 11, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province established a team to conduct surprise inspections of accommodation establishments in the area.
The inspection team was led by Mr. Luu Ba Mac - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province, along with functional forces of the Provincial Police, Provincial Inspectorate, Market Management force and related units.
During this inspection, the delegation worked at 3 accommodation establishments including Hoang Son Hai Hotel (No. 17 Tam Thanh, Tam Thanh ward), Anh Tu Hotel (No. 95 and 136 Ly Thuong Kiet, Ky Lua ward) and Hava Homestay (Ba Trieu street, Dong Kinh ward).

Previously, during the main festival days, some accommodation establishments in the area were reflected to have signs of abnormal price increases, and a situation of "holding rooms" occurred, causing public outrage.
Notably, at Anh Tu Hotel, there is information reflecting that 3 rooms were rented out for 12 million VND for guests staying on March 14, i.e., January 26.
Meanwhile, Hoang Son Hai Hotel was reported to have arbitrarily canceled 9 rooms that customers had booked in advance.
The inspection results showed that Anh Tu Hotel met the conditions for operating accommodation services as prescribed.

For Hava Homestay, the facility basically meets the requirements, but the inspection team proposed to draw experience and urgently complete some related dossiers.
Specifically for Hoang Son Hai Hotel, the inspection team recorded many shortcomings and violations.
Specifically, although the decision recognizing this facility's 2-star hotel expired in May 2025, the unit still hung a star rating advertising sign. The facility has also changed the person legally responsible but did not notify the competent authorities.
In addition, this hotel does not list prices according to regulations.

At the time of inspection, the establishment also did not present a business registration certificate, a certificate of eligibility for fire prevention and fighting, and a certificate of eligibility for security and order for accommodation service business establishments.
The inspection team requested Hoang Son Hai Hotel to stop operating accommodation business from 8:30 PM on March 11, 2026.
At the time the delegation worked, Hoang Son Hai Hotel had 13 rooms with a total of 30 guests.
During the inspection process, the Team also received information reflecting that 3 individuals gathered a total of 81 rooms at Anh Tu Hotel and then resold them on social networks at high prices and continued to verify and handle according to regulations.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Luu Ba Mac said that right from the end of December 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province has deployed to accommodation establishments in the area to strengthen conditions and strictly implement legal regulations in tourism business activities, during the 2026 Spring Festival.
According to the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province, in the coming days, the inter-sectoral inspection team will continue to conduct surprise inspections of accommodation establishments in the province, especially places with feedback from people and tourists.
At the same time, requesting accommodation establishments to strictly comply with legal regulations, ensure business conditions, publicly list service prices, sell at the right prices and not collect additional fees outside the listing.
