On July 17, the Hanoi People's Committee issued an official dispatch on checking and handling information reflecting that Cau Coc Lake is showing signs of encroachment on the lake.
According to the reflection, Cau Coc Lake in Tay Mo Ward has an area of about 25,322m2, the main function is drainage and is assigned by the City People's Committee to the Tay Mo Ward People's Committee for management. However, for many years now, many solid structures have shown signs of illegal construction on the encroached lake area.
Regarding this, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Trong Dong assigned the Tay Mo Ward People's Committee to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to inspect and clarify the information reported by the press; strictly handle violations (if any) according to the law; report to the City People's Committee before July 25, 2025.
