In mid-July, reporters' records in the area of Provincial Road 156 and Bat Xat commune showed that the construction atmosphere on border infrastructure projects was urgent.
Many machines and equipment are mobilized to accelerate the progress of items under the Border Bridge Project across the Red River and connecting infrastructure.

In parallel with transportation projects, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee has just approved the investment policy, and at the same time approved Lao Cai Industrial Development Investment Joint Stock Company to implement the project to invest in construction and business of infrastructure of Ban Qua Industrial Park in Bat Xat commune.
The project has a scale of 76.39ha, with a total investment of more than 1,360 billion VND, and is oriented to develop according to the eco-industrial park model.
According to the plan, the infrastructure will be completed in 2027 and put into operation from the fourth quarter of 2027, expected to attract investors and promote the development of industry and border gate economy.
Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requests investors to mobilize sufficient resources, implement on schedule, fully fulfill financial obligations, and ensure regulations on investment, construction, land and environment.

At the same time, strengthen coordination with localities to create consensus among people and limit the occurrence of complaints during the implementation process.
Through research, the border bridge project across the Red River and connecting infrastructure with a total investment of about 1,490 billion VND is also being accelerated.
According to the Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the border bridge package has achieved a realized value of over 105 billion VND.
The contractor has completed the M2 abutment and piers T8, T9 and is constructing the main span. It is expected that by the end of September 2026, the main span will be closed, and the entire bridge will be completed by the end of the year.

For connecting routes, Provincial Road 156, 3.2km long and BV21 road, 250m long, have completed over 96% of the volume, and are completing acceptance procedures.
The BV20 line, 3.6km long, has been constructed about 81% on the handed-over site and is expected to put the eligible section into operation before September 30.
On the afternoon of July 23, exchanging with reporters, a representative of the Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the BV22 route, more than 100m long, has just been proposed for investment to connect with the border bridge when the project is put into operation, creating a synchronous traffic direction.
According to a representative of the Project Management Board, the measurement and excavation of land plots after implementing the two-level local government model has slowed down site clearance work than expected.
During this time, a situation appeared where some households brought trees to plant within the project area. Immediately after grasping the information, the unit reported to the local authorities for inspection and handling, in order to ensure the goal of handing over the site to the contractor in August.

Recently, Bat Xat Commune People's Committee organized an inspection of the current status within the Ban Qua Industrial Park Project and BV22 road with the participation of specialized agencies, police forces and representatives of villages.
According to Bat Xat Commune People's Committee, recently there has been a situation where some organizations and individuals transport kumquat trees, peach trees and many perennial trees from other places to plant with high density in the project area, showing signs of creating a status quo to enjoy compensation policies.
The inspection and handling contribute to ensuring transparent and regulated site clearance, creating conditions for border infrastructure projects to be completed soon, expanding the space for industrial, logistics and border gate economic development in Lao Cai.
