According to initial information, at around 11:30 p.m. on April 7, a passenger car with license plate 43B-048.70 of Quoc Dat bus company, driven by Nguyen Ngoc Triet (born in 1975, residing in Dak Lak province), traveling on the Dak Lak - Da Nang route, while traveling on National Highway 19C through Phuoc Thanh commune (Tuy Phuoc district, Binh Dinh) suddenly overturned.
There were 20 passengers on the bus. The accident caused Ms. N.T.T.T (born in 1992, from Quang Nam province) to die on the spot. In addition, 9 others were injured, of which 3 were seriously injured, the rest suffered minor scratches.
Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police (Binh Dinh Provincial Police) quickly arrived at the scene, supporting the getting the trapped victims out of the vehicle.
On the morning of April 8, a representative of Binh Dinh General Hospital said that from 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. the same day, the hospital's Emergency Department received 9 injured victims in the above-mentioned passenger bus overturn.
After examination, 6 cases of minor injuries were treated and discharged from the hospital overnight. The remaining 3 cases with more serious injuries have been hospitalized for further monitoring and treatment.
The cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
